DAN is the Dermatology Advocacy Network
Mission Statement The mission of the Dermatology Advocacy Network is to advocate on behalf of physicians and patients for the advancement of dermatology through legislative and regulatory efforts at the federal and state levels.
Background The American Academy of Dermatology Association created DAN in order to have a grassroots network in place to deal with important legislative and regulatory issues. It is important for dermatologists to have a place at the table as policies are developed that affect patients, physicians and the practice of dermatology. Legislators and regulatory agencies need to hear from our members. Our members are the experts in issues related to the practice of dermatology.
Getting Involved DAN provides information and opportunities for everyone to get involved no matter what their level of previous advocacy experience. There are many ways to get involved. By clicking on Become a Grassroots Advocate you can sign up to become a part of DAN. You will receive action alerts, a quarterly newsletter updating you on SkinPAC and DAN activities, and information regarding other opportunities to get involved.
